Detailed Tour ( 9-days )

Depart early morning to Murchison Falls National Park -north-western Uganda through the famous Luwero Triangle and, travel to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project. A visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking is a must. Later proceed to Murchison Falls.

After an early morning breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive. Through this game viewing, a chance of spotting Elephants, Lions, Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeest, Waterbucks, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyenas and a leopard if the best goes on.

Later return to the lodge for more breakfast and lunch. Afternoon proceed for a boat cruise on the longest river in the world “river Nile” to the bottom of the falls stopping just ten meters away from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En-route, for the mouthwatering hippos, crocodiles and over a few kilometers stretch you may see elephants, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and crocodiles.

Being on the Nile, chances of seeing plentiful bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork is at 90%. After all that, boat be left at the river banks as you start your – quite heavy – hike to the Top of the Falls (approx. 1 hour).

See where the world’s longest river explodes aggressively through a narrow forked in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below.

Proceed for Kibale Forest NP driving to the Western part of Uganda taking about +5hrs. You will traverse through green countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments that gives a spectacular sightseeing.

This park is most noted for its primate’s population, it protects a habituated population of Common chimpanzee as well as several species of Central African monkey including the red–tailed monkey. The park rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.

Have a briefing at Kanyanchu Tourist Centre where tourist activities begin and set out for your trekking. Trekking chimps in kibale forest NP, travelers are assured over 90% chance of viewing chimps. The Park is one of those beautiful and fabulous forests in Uganda.

The park is still a home to our closest living relatives “the endangered Chimpanzees” that share DNA with humans at 99%, the rare L’Hoest’s monkey and threatened Red colobus monkey. The forest also has one of the highest diversities and number of primates in Africa totaling 13 species not forgetting the common Black and white colobus, Blue monkey, Red tailed monkey, Bush babies and Grey-cheeked mangabey (originate from central Africa).

After lunch visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary from where you will take on a guided walk through the Swamp that gives you an opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. see a number of butterflies, birds and other insects.

After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP viewing the magical Rwenzori Mountain ranges. Check in at your lodge as they prepare your lunch. Depart for boat cruise along Kazinga Channel that joins Lakes Edward and George.

Being on the cruise is the most delightful way to see elephants, hippo, buffalo, Uganda kob and the occasional Nile crocodile and the outstanding bird watching on the water bank. Have an evening game viewing as you return back to your safari lodge.

Wake up very early in the morning with packed lunch as you head out for a game drive to catch-up with the early walkers and predators returning to their hideouts and targeting their prey respectively.

Through this one is likely meet grazing Hippos, Elephants, Lions, spotted Hyenas, bush buck, water buck, stripped jackal, warthogs and the elusive leopard not forgetting. Antelopes/ Uganda kobs. Have a chance to Maramagambo forest for a forest/nature walk and bird watching.

Being this forest, observing pythons that are often sighted in the crevices of the bat cave floor is one’s utmost. The cave is near a picturesque formerly Blue lake and Hunters cave. You may also see forest birds such as bat hawks, brown eared woodpecker and other primates.

With remarkable experience & memories, with an early breakfast embark on road for a +4hrs drive to the UNSCO “Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP”. As you drive through queen Elizabeth NP, one will encounter deep and wide dry craters occupied by flora (savanna grassland with acacia).

The drive will be more of a game viewing through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the (southern part of Queen Elizabeth NP) Ishasha sector where tree climbing lions are discovered as proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable NP.

Leave the Lodge with a packed lunch as you go for Gorilla Tracking, be briefed at the headquarter on dos and don’ts. The activity is a reflect of highlight in the entire African wildlife safari. The ecstasy of your encounter will change the difficulties of the potentially tireless trek. Jungle boots and rain jackets are most needed because the often rain drops in the park, walking sticks are provided on the briefing.

Devote time in wonder viewing gorillas as they play together and go about their daily activities of climbing. Every time you do encounter gorillas on a safari will seem different as well as rewards, but you are liable of enjoying the close view of adults feeding the young ones, grooming and resting as the youngsters swing and romp and from plants in a charmingly playful.

Check out of your hotel and embark on a journey to Kampala  Entebbe airport +7hrs. Make a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre to explore and learn the Ankole/ Bahima culture. Continue your drive with a stopover at the Equator crossing with your lunch en-route before you drive to back to airport for flight catch up on an international flight.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 40%-50% is required when booking this safari depending on the product to be booked. final payment will be required no later than 45-50 days prior departure. For any bookings made within mentioned days of departure, full safari fees, fares/amount will be charged upon booking.
